RE: Picture posting thread...anyone into it?

Since this weekend is our 39th Wedding anniversary, , and because it was a 3 day weekend last weekend, to get out of the 106 degree temperature in Fresno, we took off for Morro Bay, California. Morro Bay is on The California Central Coast, and the high temperature was 67 degrees, AND FOGGY. Nighttime temps. were in the 50's. We stayed at a campground, right next to the marina, and we hiked across the peninsula ( you will see a picture of our coach looking from across the ocean to it) Came home yesterday, and back to the heat http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/morrorock.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/motorcoachatmarina.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/marina.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/me.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/seaotterinseaweed.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/elephantseals2.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/carlosandchris.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/jaaybird/cityofMorroBay.jpg

A NEW CHAPTER in my life

Today I got my DIABETES "monitor", got my Metaformin, AND the diet plan. ( I should go out to the "back 40" and eat what the horseys eat!) Not too bad, A1C was 7.5, Doc said if I walk, watch my diet, will come down, and he will probably take me off the meds. Am walking 2 miles every day. 1,500 calorie diet, and have lost 18 pounds in two weeks. ( For you with " this problem") Doc said I DO NOT have to "check" every day since all my numbers are low, but "The ANGEL with Wings" told him she wants me to have it at home for emergencies?????? jb

New office policy

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2008 NEW OFFICE POLICY Dress Code: 1) You are advised to come to work dressed according to your salary. 2) If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we will assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise. 3) If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise. 4) If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise. Sick Days: We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work. Personal Days: Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturdays & Sundays. Bereavement Leave: This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend the funeral arrangements in your place. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early. Bathroom Breaks: Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken. After your second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the 'Chronic Offenders' category. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sectioned under the company's mental health policy. Lunch Break: * Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy. * Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. * Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast. Thank you for your loyalty to our company. We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere. The Management Pass this on to all who are employed!

RE: Jayco makes a "quality trailer"?

Sher! THANK YOU! :P On edit, I don't think it's entirely fair to question the truthfulness of Jaybird,s post, he doesn't even own a TT and it doesn't appear he has any axe to grind, just simply questioning the quality, you do hear an awful lot of raves about jayco and sometimes I think, since we looked at them too, that you protest to much, when the quality is in question.

RE: Jayco makes a "quality trailer"?

I am not complaining about Jayco service!!! In fact they have been wonderful! It is being fixed by a NON JAYCO dealer!!!! I am just upset about how something could get tru ANY manufacturing process with this many problems. No hassle with Jayco, The son called, they listed said " TAKE IT WHERE EVER YOU WANT, HAVE THEM SEND US THE BILL" no inspectors, blah, blah

RE: Jayco makes a "quality trailer"?

There's something about this post that brings up my suspicions. #2 and #6 mention the word "coach". Who calls their TT a coach? #2 Nothing mentioned about where the water came from to short out the radio. #4 If they're taking up lino for the nails, then they can do #10 at the same time. #6 and #11 seem like the same thing. Etc., etc., etc. 2&6: First of all MR> SKEPTIC. I own a Class C and call everything a COACH. #2 NOBODY has an idea why the water cut out the radio wanna see the repair order??????? Jayco makes a "quality trailer"?

My kids "decided to buy a brand new 2008" TT, and did not ask for my help..... ( first mistake). They went to Dan Gamel, who is going out of business, got a good deal, but, are not getting any luck to get the " due bill" work done, nor warrenty repairs. I diceded to help. Had him call Jayco direct, tell them everything that is wrong on a 2008 TT, and "Jayco stood behind it", told him to take it to ANY dealer he wanted, and tell them to send the man at Jayco the bill. We have it now at Paul Everts, they have confirmed with Jayco a P.O. and it is being worked on. I called the service director at Paul Evert's told him the story, he called Jaco and confirmed, and I took it there yesterday. 1) Bath tub NOT supported, will have it take it out and put more supports under it. 2) Radio, ( in coach) " shorted out" due to water. 3) ALL water lines installed wrong, i.e. where hot lines are should be cold line, ect. 3a) The P trap has fallen off. 4) nails sticking out of linoleum, will wear out in time, have to lift all linol, and redo 5) Refer door FELL off on last weekend trip, will have to replace reefer. 6) Moulding on coach entry door installed wrong, will have to replace and install right 7) toilet lines are leaking and installed backwards need to replace. 8) wall paper in bathroom, wet and shrunk from water damage remove and replace 9) control monitor does not light, remove and rewire 10)vapor barrier leak, will have to remove all lilo to sub floor to check for water damage 11) Vinyl moulding on door was not installed corectly, cut too short, will remove replace, and then will adhesive ,screw down as to not come apart jb

RE: Hey Jaybird

5:45 p.m.: Mariposa Elementary School is one of the evacuation sites for people forced from their homes by the Telegraph fire. Maureen Correia, 67, and Doyle Correia, 72, came to the center Sunday about noon. So far their house seems fine. Sunday was their 29th wedding anniversary and Doyle Correia’s 72nd birthday. The couple paid attention to the recent Oliver fire near Oakhurst and decided to write a list of what they would take if they needed to evacuate. They wrote it two weeks ago and then used the list this weekend, gathering important papers, medical records, photos of a daughter who recently died, deeds, bank account numbers, mementos, all packed into an SUV. They also evacuated a banty rooster named Rastus and a hen named Chickie. The American Red Cross is maintaining two shelters in the fire-stricken foothills to provide meals and housing for families affected by the Telegraph fire near Mariposa. The shelters are at Mariposa Elementary School, 544 Jones St., Mariposa, and Greeley Hill Community Center, 10332 Fiske Road, Greeley Hill. Foothill residents can call the Cal Fire evacuation hotline at (209) 966-1133 for information on whether their home is in an evacuation area. Fire information is available at (209) 966-4784 or (209) 966-4785.

RE: Hey Jaybird

07-28) 16:04 PDT MIDPINES, MARIPOSA COUNTY - -- A major wildland fire 12 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park continued to blaze unabated throughout the day and has resulted in the closure of Highway 140, the major roadway leading into Yosemite Valley. Suzanne Grin of the state Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said anyone needing to go in or out of the valley would have to use either Highway 41 or Highway 120. Meanwhile, the state sent additional resources to fight the fire, but still made little headway. Crews battled rugged terrain and hot, dry weather in an attempt to keep the blaze from threatening homes and people. The Telegraph Fire engulfed 26,130 acres, and remained at 10 percent containment as of 3:30 p.m., Grin said. The fire, which was started Friday by someone who was target shooting, is burning about 12 miles west of Yosemite, just northwest of the small town of Midpines (Mariposa County). It has destroyed 12 residences and 27 outbuildings, Grin said. There was no official word on the status or identity of the individual thought to be responsible for the fire. Grin said no arrests have been made. The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said deputies were in the field dealing with the fire, and had no official announcement concerning charges. The fire is east of Highway 49 and north of Highway 140. Both highways remained open this morning as the fire moved north toward Coulterville and the Sierra and Stanislaus national forests, officials said. The state said earlier that the blaze threatened about 2,000 residences, but by mid-afternoon increased that number to 4,000. Those threatened are in the communities of Midpines, Briceburg, Mariposa, Greeley Hill, Coulterville, Bear Valley and Mount Bullion Camp. There was no official count on the number of people evacuated from the area. A voluntary evacuation is in place around Midpines. People living in the communities east of North Highway 49 at Mykleoaks Road, south to the Highway 140 junction, and communities west of Highway 140 from Mariposa north to Briceburg, have been warned that they might have to leave. The fire is burning in an area with many steep canyons, making it hard for firefighters to get to the flames, Grin said. Temperatures today rose to the mid-90s and the humidity at 4 p.m. was 21 percent. More than 3,100 people are involved in fighting the fire (between crews and support personnel). There are 67 fire crews, backed up by 13 helicopters, six air tankers, 60 bulldozers, 268 fire engines and 30 water tenders.
